I suffered a stroke when I was 42. Paralysed down the right side the NHS Neurological Physiotherapy staff were fantastic and there stroke care got me home in 8 weeks. But I was married, had 2 children and a business to run and I wanted to be better than I was..despite the stroke! Skyblue Therapy, a team of Neurological Physiotherapists, based in County Durham, scheduled 10 weeks of ‘one on one’ stroke recovery sessions and the progress to my paralysis was dramatic. The paralysis caused by my stroke slowly dissapeared and they got me walking without a stick, got rid of my limp and gave me the confidence to restart public speaking despite a slight facial palsy. In fact I regularly swim, bike ride and go to the gym despite the effects of the stroke..
